Some snow plowed to the side of the streets, but otherwise ok.

No way APS backtracks if DC, falls church and Alexandria open. And dc was open today.

We were about to get all our kids back to school in FCC…but Oak St (3-5 elementary) flooded this AM and is now closed.

I tried to tell you, but how much mental energy did you use on being negative and trying to find evidence that they would cancel? SMH.

I’ve been out driving this morning. It’s not bad. There are definitely patches of poorly plowed road and spots where roads narrow pretty tight because of snow banks, but the idea that we would have closed today seemed ludicrous once I got out there.

Did you see the picture of a few snow patches in an otherwise plowed parking lot that some anonymous APS employee just posted in AEM? I really believe some people are too precious to drive again until everything is melted away.

Somehow all the Amazon drivers and grocery store workers and fed employees (yesterday when OPM opened) etc. manage to function, but this person (who clearly made it safely to work and was able to post) just cannot believe they had to go in today. 2 hours late mind you.

Not getting my hopes up isn’t the same as expending negative mental energy.

I’ve just been around long enough to have an I’ll believe it when I see it mindset for a lot of stuff APS says.

And I like APS over all. But I know how things roll sometimes.
