Wellesley underrated?

Tons? Proof?

Tons? Proof?

How do you expect them to prove that? The type of person to apply to Wellesley is going to want to go there over Williams or Swarthmore. They’re completely different vibes.

I know a lot of kids who’ve chosen more fun places than Williams, because being cooped up in a desolate mountain community with harsh winters isn’t the best college experience for most.

I went to Wellesley long ago and one of my friends transferred from Williams to Wellesley because there was a lot of drinking and not much else. Wellesley is close to Boston which is an attraction for many. I know I went to Boston almost every weekend when I was there. I thought Wellesley was fun at the time. There were movies, club activities and parties on campus almost every weekend. They were probably all lame compared to Virginia Tech parties.

I wonder if many Wellsley kids actually travel to MIT for classes. My daughter applied to both schools with the expectation that if she doesnt get accepted to MIT she could at least take classes there. But I'm not sure how practical that is.

They do it doesn’t take long to get to the mit train stop and just requires paying attention to your schedule. In general, Wellesley students love going out to Boston when they can!
