I love the term! So many people are closer to their friends than their families. It's cute and it doesn't hurt anyone.

My friends have been doing this since way before social media was a thing. We did it because it's a fun way to have a holiday party. Sometimes we don't do Thanksgiving food, we do a different theme. It's always fun.
