Op back with an update.

I contacted the health department. Was told they would take a report, but unless people report getting ill from that restaurant, they’re not going to do anything. Won’t even talk to them.

Wrote in a complaint on the website and didn’t hear anything back.

So, basically, no one cares. Sigh.

I in no way hate digs, but I'd walk out and never go back. That's ridiculous.

Nobody prevented them from doing this because we live in a society where nobody is allowed to invalidate anyone else’s identity ever. We all get to be whoever we want to be all the time.

Name the restaurant here. And put it on yelp, google reviews and social media (if they have it). Mention that the health department didn’t care, too. People deserve to know.
