SAT 11/2

1430 (720 verbal/710 math). I was one of the PPs who said my kid is advanced in math but found several math problems very hard. I am thrilled with the score, but she wants to take it again. She's a junior, so we'll see.

He said there was one problem where it would’ve taken a long time to do by hand or with a TI, but he could do it in a minute with desmos.

Poster from above. Yes, my kid says desmos is key. Also said he didn't know about some linear regression hack using desmos. Now, he knows.

It's absolutely ridiculous that kids are having to figure out hacks, tips and tricks on youtube for this test. Are they learning how to deeply do math and reading or how to stupidly get a question correct.

I love it after 3 years of desktops night and the SAT meaningless, CB comes out with a new version of the test where the scores are made of random nonsense like calculator hacks and and distracting experimental questions.

The Princeton Review has a great review of grammar that is helpful.

DD felt great about the math and so so about the verbal section, solid but not confident in her choices when she came out of it. Ended up with a 740 math and 760 verbal.

She is not disappointed and not elated but a little puzzled, we signed her up for both November and December so will see what the next attempt brings.

Having a 1500 out of the way is helpful to know. She wants mid 1500s. I would like for her to have a score she is happy with so she can move on to other interests.

760/760 good enough to never think about this again
