If voters unaffiliated with either party can vote in primaries, then it becomes a popularity contest, not a vote for comptence.

In states where party registration wasn't required, the GOP primaries were closer/more sane than in states where it was.

She needs a lot of time to prep for interviews.

PP again. I get that, but why do interviews at all? I did just read that she declined Joe Rogan, so I think that's a good move.

She's clearly better at group events and rallies. I don't understand why she's not barnstorming the swing states like Trump is. She could easily do a couple of rallies each day in each swing state and that would do a lot to energize her campaign.

I seriously don't understand this decision.

In retrospect it was probably a lot to expect of her to go from three years of low activity VP idleness to suddenly being thrust in the starring role and constantly campaigning. Three months in, she looks exhausted. And she’s looking at early voting numbers that look mostly bad.

She was around Biden for years; she could see what was happening to him. If she wasn’t prepared to step in and hit the ground running it’s a massive strike against her.

Ok, so that’s like one event per travel day, with the exception of the last day, where she does 2 events.

That’s not nearly enough. He’s doing 2-3 travel events a day, with interviews in between.


She’s acting like she’s not really interested in winning. I don’t understand it, or her motivation here.

It’s worrisome.

Everything that I have read about Harris’s management style as Veep indicates someone who is very high maintenance. This is most likely an intentional schedule either requested by her or decided by her team to maximize her performance and limit her exposure. Effectively to stage manage her, which has been a strong theme of her campaign.
