Photos are allowed. Just not for political campaigns. Trump is gross. |
I'm surprised he allowed the disabled veteran in a photo with him. Doesn't he despise those people? Aren't they losers? |
They were not enforcing this in our case. A guy with a long range lens was taking photos of us during a funeral service. The photogs then sell these photos. |
He already used the WH for an official campaign event in 2020, which broke the law.

Now consider the episode with John Kelly at his son’s grave. Look, the fact is that if you support this low-life, it’s because you are one yourself or you’re just in complete denial regarding how he views you. I’m a NYer, i have family who knew him and know him. The man sees anyone who isn’t from LA or NY as a hick, if not worse. He doesn’t care if you’re UMC in some DC suburb or some rich nobody in the south. He sure as hell thinks you’re a loser if you’re serving in the military and making almost nothing. And don’t stupidly think I’m a Democrat. That you think anyone has to be, to see this repugnant man for what he is, is why you must be a low-life or dumb. |
Revolting and I would expect nothing less from Trump. |
You are desperate. |
You may have been asleep for the last four years, but Trump left office in January 2021 (unwillingly, of course). Presidential immunity does NOT extend to ex-Presidents who are accorded the title of President out of respect. Biden is the current President and can, as you said "do whatver tf he wants." |
And, everyone. |
This. |
You’re, not wrong. But people knew he was a low life in 2016 and still voted for him. And, unfortunately, Biden-Harris stunk it up so bad the past four years they seem willing to vote for him again. Let that soak in. |
Last month I visited a family member who’s a retired federal agent who sometimes got pulled into Secret Service duties when presidents or candidates visited his state. He told me a story of a time in the 70s when he was guarding a hallway to the President’s hotel suite and turned away a state political muckety-muck who wanted access but wasn’t on the approved list. After a brief disagreement, State Political Guy ultimately responded by punching Agent Family Member. (Who immediately arrested the guy for assaulting an officer. Apparently the incident even made the national news. I couldn’t believe I’d never heard the story till now.)
I found the story so weird, in a “who DOES that?” sense — who responds to someone just doing his job and enforcing important security rules by throwing a punch at him? There was alcohol involved and Political Guy was in a group of men, so there were all those dynamics. But still, I had to shrug it off as “Past decades were strange sometimes.” Cut to yesterday, when this happened. And this time you can’t even blame alcohol or the 70s! I guess I just don’t understand some people’s choices, in ANY decade. |
Side note to the “throwing a punch” story just above — shortly after the arrest, the President asked to meet with Agent. Agent thought he’d be fired or at least reprimanded, for arresting a power player in the President’s party. Instead, President wanted him to know that he appreciated Agent for doing his job to keep President safe. All these years later, Agent told me “I never agreed with his politics or voted for him, but President is still one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.” |
Some veterans "furious" with what Trump did.

,+1. Thousands of families have lived ones buried in national cemeteries. And they know that that space will not be used for political campaigning. This family is welcome to campaign for and with trump but they should not do it at Arlington national cemetery. |
