Obviously! With the assistance of the GOP owned media, the law only constrains Democrats. Republicans are free to do as they wish and any attempt to enforce the law is considered “law fare.” Republicans aren’t well people. |
I mean, the ads with the footage absolutely happened. They are on Trump’s election social media and the footage from Section 60 is in Trump ads on TV. I know MAGa denies reality. But using the footage was used for ads anyone can see. And that is illegal. Either you are delusional and literally can’t process ads streaming on multiple platforms, or you are okay with Trump breaking (more) laws. And it’s clear Trump was told about the law and members of his campaign were abusive to Arlington staff who asked them to follow the law. It’s gross to break the law at Arlington. And worse to physically lay your hands on civil servants who are asking you to obey the law. |
That is…a new low. |
And, it will continue to go lower. The GOP is fully compliant and the media are just about there with them. It is horrifying to watch our country degrade before our eyes. |
+1 Is PP saying the Trump people lied that there was an altercation? Because they came out and accused a cemetery official of having "a mental health" crisis. And then another official slandered that official and threatened that they should lose their job over the altercation. And you can't deny the Trump campaign took footage and used it for campaigning. That is illegal. But once again, MAGA people reject having laws apply to their dear leader. |
Photography
Photography is permitted within the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery. Photographers who are members of news organizations need to make arrangements for a media escort by contacting the ANC Public Affairs Office at 703-614-0024. We ask media and cemetery visitors to respect the solemnity of Arlington National Cemetery by refraining from taking pictures of or filming someone who is visibly mourning. Please ask for permission to film or photograph those visiting a gravesite.” |
+1. If he had been there for the family and not the campaign, he would have taken any private photos the family requested (legal) and not made sure to shoot a campaign ad (illegal). This is the part of the cemetery where the are active funeral taking place. The disrespect for everyone else who has also recently lost a family member and wants the privacy to which they are legally entitled is disgusting. Maybe there were people there or fresh graves of the recently deceased who didn’t want to be in a Trump campaign ad. Why can he not respect their wishes. And, you know the law. Visit, participate in a memorial, take photos for personal use. But, don’t engage in partisan politics on Section 60 of Arlington. Clear, simple law. Rather than obeying the law, Trump had his goons physically assault the people working at Arlington who asked him to obey the law. Disgusting. |
Exception: Donald J Trump Apparently. |
Now do section 60, which is new graves and is government by different, more stringent laws. |
I can’t even imagine the pain of a family that has lost a child recently and is upset that Trump called their child a sucker and a loser. And then comes across their child’s grave in the background of a Trump add.
Seriously MAGA? He could just have some common decency and not film the graves of the recently deceased whose families he insulted as a campaign as. Just once, he could attend the memorial without making it a campaign ad? His staff couldn’t use their words than than manhandling civil servants at Arlington who are trying to do their jobs in a nonpartisan manner? |
With thumbs up and smile. Of course Trump has never respected the military, so why start now… |
Arlington is sacred, hallowed ground. Trump has defiled it. Not only that, but his handlers showed their contempt in tangling in any way, shape or form with those trying to protect it. |
An older retired military couple in the neighborhood has a Trump sign in their yard. WTAF? Disgusting. |
Sans the last word, you might as well be quoting dump himself, incl the use of third person. |
