Why is this house in Vienna not selling?

Whoever bought this spent the least amount of cash, getting dated materials (even for 2009) and trying to capitalize on the sq footage & lot that it has.

No way this house didn't sell because of the color scheme and floors like everybody is saying(that's a small investment into a 1.6m house) - this house needs a tremendous amount of work everything from the poor condition driveway, updating bathrooms, update and fix the weird lay out of the kitchen, weird/dangerous catwalk, fix small closet and bathrooms for a huge house. After all this, you're left on a peninsula that's impossible to walk out from. I would stay away unless you can get a significant discount which the sellers don't seem inclined to do.

Wow how did you figure out about the nature of the sale in 2008/2009? I was looking at county records for clues and the sales info did look a little suspicious to me, but no way I would figure out what really happened such a long time ago…you are amazing.

I don't think you know the area at all. It's literally in the school district everyone wants to buy in when looking in Vienna.

The house is dark as heck inside, it's on a busy street with lots of traffic (Vale to flint hill) and the interior is decorated like it's 1981.

They need to restage that home and put a fence up or drop the price by about 200k to invoke a bidding war.
