What are some of the most diverse LACs?

Would a DeSantis conservative feel comfortable there? No snarky responses please, just an honest answer.

Why not just go to Yale, like DeSantis himself?

The most diverse LACs are probably the ones who give merit aid as they have genuine socioeconomic diversity. At all the top schools you mention, nearly every student is very rich, or very poor.

We know this creates a toxic society in nations, so I'm not sure why anyone would think it would be good for college students.

I posted above, DD got into several of these schools, and is attending one of them. And that diversity is one reason for it.

College students aren't nations and have the capacity to hang out with poor or rich people? Never heard this complaint in my life. Must be one of those DCUM quirks.

The US is factually the most wealth unequal developed nation, and we seem to be doing pretty dang spectacular. Machiavelli doesn't inform everything in life, folks

Define diversity. Do you mean race, do you mean a certain race? Are you talking about economic diversity? Geographic?

What is "certain race" diversity?
Also this shuffles the same 4 or 5 LACs no matter which one you apply.

Diversity can mean all races or diversity can decides that Asians aren't actually part of a diverse campus (i.e. the type that got Harvard sued)

Name a campus that is diverse that doesn't have Asian Americans as the highest percentage of students of color. I guess this makes sense if you avoid the big Asian population at Harvard too...

Drop out of the top colleges and you get there. If you want a good mix or poor middle class and rich and a good mix of all races, you're dropping way further down the list than schools DCUM finds acceptable

Most colleges outside of the top colleges are non competitive. You're asking for elite schools that accept everybody...

OP said LAC not SLAC

The SLAC's are still economically, racially, and geographically most diverse...

If you want diversity go to a big state school. These schools are 50% athletes.

More like one-quarter to one-third

Up to two-fifths. And remember, freshman year is an higher athlete percentage due to attrition, so one-quarter for purposes of admission is too low. Suffice to say, athletes tend to be 80% white. And full pay!

No decent LAC is 40% athletes...

I'm sure you think so, but you only ever leave McClean to go to a Sandals Resort so your perspective is skewed.

Or you could've found the various data points that concur. I'm not the one who knows nothing about the real world...

Open curriculium, intellectual and very liberal in small Iowa town that is hard to get to. A school you really have to visit.

That is a horrible domestic students of color percentage. Clues into the fact that its an undiverse, unsafe place for students of color, and they need to attract a ton of internationals to convince anyone to come.

Amen! This is not the definition of diverse that anyone who understands diversity would consider real. Sheltered white view maybe.

You can see the actual numbers here: https://ope.ed.gov/athletics/#/institution/search

I haven’t found one yet that is 40%.

Was just coming on to say this. Class of 27 is 65% who identify as students of color.

Gender is pretty diverse too, except for lack of men.

OP, have you considered Hampden Sydney College? Gorgeous facilities and a diverse male population.
