What's a food that people generally love but you think is overrated?

I think these are rated appropriately because I don't think people eat them frequently. When you get one, and get a good one, with fresh baguette, perfect steak, toppings, perfectly hot, it's pretty divine.

Lobster, crab, champagne, eggplant, moscow mules, and most restaurant desserts.

Do you think people generally love sea urchin?!

It’s called uni in Japanese restaurants. It’s incredibly delicious IMO.

NP. Thank you captain obvious. The PP was making a point that this is not generally a loved food, per the title.
It's incredibly disgusting IMO.

NP If you're someone who loves sushi generally not liking uni is surprising. Go to any nice omakase and tell the chef you don't want uni (what I do) and they're horrified and shocked.

But that's just sushi chefs! They're hardly representative of the general population. When I go to omakase, 3 out of the 4 of us skip the uni.

NP. You go to omakase and try to dictate the ingredients?

As a non-native to the area, I liked the idea but found the bread insanely salty. Maybe that's not everywhere that does one, but that was my experience.

All sweet drinks, pasta, white bread, Hershey's chocolate, pizza, creamy soups.

It really not that good and borderline terrible

Asparagus, I think people won’t admit it’s doesn’t really taste good, it’s got an interesting shape.

I didn’t really think people are sea urchin I almost threw up the one time I tried it.

Same! Snickers and twizzlers just don’t do it for me.

yes. it's typically Hershey's vomit. How is that tempting? Our leftovers go stale. Literally nobody wants it. I really don't even think the troops want it. I think they give it away too!

Yep. Same with Girl Scout cookies

I have a sweet tooth and am not into Nutella. My contribution here in spinach.

Ha! Yes, but I do like it if I don’t see the shell. I’ll take a good lobster roll

YES. I get that it's a vehicle for sauce, but it's too much for little reward.

Kind of agree with pasta too. I eat it, and make it for my family but 99% of it is overrated.
