So you think they will just get more and more tattoos or is there something else you wouldn't like? |
Again, it’s priorities, even values. Several intricate tattoos can cost thousands of dollars. To me, that’s a vacation or money that can go towards a degree. $5k towards inking up your body is a statement. |
| There is a mom at my kid’s daycare that has basically her entire body covered in Tattoos. I honestly get why people get small tattoos for something every meaningful in their life-but when it’s multiple/over the top to me it just screams “look at me! Look how unique and interesting I am.” And like other have stated-I just think about how much money they spent on them when that money could have gone to much more useful things. |
My husband has 2 and he is an amazing husband and father. I don’t have any and don’t want any, but I like them on my DH. |
Hair color can easily be changed. Permanant ink? Not so much. |
| This thread is sooooo b00mer. |
And zero is better than less. |
Total opposite. Small, hidden tattoos are stupid. They age poorly and are difficult to see. If you're gonna do, be bold. Outlines, color, and a clear subject matter. |
Meh. (Disclosure: I've spent around 18k on my tattoos) And I have found it a better use of my money than a vacation. The tattoos are permanent; a vacation is not. And for me, I love art. I buy art. I make art. And I love wearing art on my body. I am patient to get the artist I want. I spend a lot to get quality work. And at the end of the day, I am thrilled with how I spent my money. Do you criticize the same people that spend thousands on a luxury car? Or men that spends thousands on obscure hobbies or collections? It brings people happiness. And while I agree that that there are MANY bad tattoos out there, you have to recognize that there is a lot of beautiful art work on skin. These are not my tattoos but I do have tattoos by some of these artists. It is money well spent, imo. They may not be your preferred style, but it's disingenuous to claim that its not art

| I’ve actually been wondering about this. Just recently I’ve seen a surprising number of late 30s-early 40s women who look otherwise very professional and $$$, but with full arm sleeve tattoos. I don’t recall ever seeing anything like this in the Boston area where we moved from. Is this a recent development, or just something regional? Or am I just somehow noticing them? |
Bonus points if you include the eyelids as part of moving tableau. |
Bold is best. I saw this hot lady (looked older than me but not more than 45) at the gym over the weekend. She had a sweet neck tattoo. Not typically my go to per say but something about it was really hot. |
Exactly. If you're gonna do it, go for it. Big and bold. Make sure that people across the room can actually make out what your tattoo is. If they gotta get close to see what it is, its a bad tattoo |
| I prefer aged tattoos over the fake perfect botox plastic look. |
She's gotta be kinky as hell if she's doing ink like that. |
