So this is getting interesting. Word in the officiating circle is that the tattle team team ALSO had an illegal sub in the game but it wasnt caught until yesterday, so an official review is in process and will likely take that W away.

Wouldn’t it be an officiating diamond?

100% not true. The team that discovered the cheating - and I assume we can all agree that cheating is wrong and should be reported - got the win and played again the following night. In that game, neither team cheated - which I assume we can all agree is a good thing.

And they lost.

There is no such thing as an “officiating circle” - you made that up.

You don't think coaches, umps, refs, etc talk in NOVA?

So you are happy the team that didn’t cheat lost? Sounds like you’ve been caught cheating yourself and can relate.

Anonymous wrote:Just so you have all the facts - the player in question was not ineligible because of his age, he was ineligible because he wasn’t actually on the team’s roster. He arrived late to the game and went on to the field wearing another player’s jersey. The parent the OP mentioned is a friend of the family of the player who was supposedly subbed in and knew he was at the beach with his family. She then told the coach of her son’s team, who spoke to a tournament official, who then questioned the opposing coach. The opposing coaching at first claimed the player entering the game was indeed the player listed on the roster and wearing the right jersey. However, there were multiple parents who knew both kids and the coach eventually “confessed” that the player who entered the game was not on the roster. The game was then stopped and the cheating team forfeited. Side note - the cheating team was losing 6-2 when the game was called.

So now you're changing your story? Get a grip, gramps.

Umpire here. That post wasn’t mine, rather the OP. Why are you still here? I ejected your ass. Go clean your Prius.

I mean, technically you got me. These aren't grown men holding hands in a circle each morning. That's true. I bet you could even say their houses, if connected in a perimeter map, wouldn't even be a circle either.

You're right. They must not talk. At all. While they bump into one another every three nights for five-ish months a year, while living within a radius of 10, maybe 20 miles of each other. For decades at a time.

I guess I'll just keep my anecdotes to myself . Anybody want to hear the story about a Varsity player from _______ impregnating a coache's daughter?

I was kidding with you. My only point was the team that cheated was bad despite what the OP believes.

I agree with the OP. Kids should be allowed to cheat.

I don’t think kids should be allowed to cheat. I heard the team that discovered the cheating is being honored in a special ceremony. Good on you American Legion.

Keep up, Barney. There has been much talk about whether people in the baseball community even keep up with one another. Personally, I played ball, coached, ref'd, umped, volunteered, donated, ran concessions, sat commitee, whatever in Fairfax County for the last 40 years.

Keep up, son.

The person who keeps using the 😂 definitely cheats or condones cheating.
