+1. Rice bowls, pasta bowls, salad bowls, egg roll in a bowl.

All fine for lunch, not dinner. -NP

I don’t think I could finish a whole bowl for lunch, at least the way we make them. They’re solely for dinner in our house. Whole grains, proteins, vegetables and sauce…it’s an entire meal, just in a bowl.

Humans aren’t carnivores. NP

A bologna sandwich with Miracle whip and American cheese on Wonder Bread is about the grossest thing I can think of. So—agreed.

So like, pasta
pasta doesn’t have to be ultra processed.

Any bread you buy at the store is ultra-processed, not just Wonder Bread 👍

I prefer my lunch to be the main meal and dinner to be lighter. (Dp)

Agreed. And I eat none of it.

I don’t understand the fake meats and fake cheeses and fake sweeteners. There are plenty of great food options that are meat and dairy free and added sweeteners free, why eat something that will never live up to the original and is way more processed.

Anonymous wrote:Your first point speared me straight through the heart. I love boiled potato. It’s the simplicity, topped generously with butter, dill and spring onions. It’s heaven. Pure heaven.

No specific foods that I don’t understand or find weird, more the tendency with some to add cheese to everything. Also creamy sauces with meat, chicken and especially with fish.

I’m with you on the weirdness of cream sauce! I can’t stand fish with dairy. Meat I can eat but I will always gravitate to the acidic sauce over creamy given the choice.

Pork chops, pork roast, etc. and anything veal. Yuck.

Doritos and Cheetos
They just gross me out but people who I respect love them.
Is that one genetic, too? Ftr I like cilantro and beets.

I have a relative who serves a "salad" consisting of canned pear topped with a dollop of mayo, a sprinkling of cheddar cheese, and a cherry. I posted about this here before and learned that it was a "thing" and not something she made up!
