Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
LOL |
Is 16 greater than or less than 5? |
Correct. Higher percentage of white is not “all white” Lower percentage of ever FARMS is not “all rich” |
Nobody on this thread has said "all white" or "all rich" so I don't know why you're putting those phrases in quotation marks? |
I don't know. I didn't go to a W school. |
Maybe somebody should have. That's kind of what they've always been known for... |
Who do you think you're fooling with this? It's so easy to check that this is false. For example, Whitman at a glance, https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/regulatoryaccountability/glance/currentyear/schools/04427.pdf <5% FARMS |
At least Churchill is 9.7% FARMS but man why do they even bother to post these lies https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/regulatoryaccountability/glance/currentyear/schools/04427.pdf |
FARMS indicates whether the student is receiving free or reduced meals, now. Ever FARMS indicates whether the student has ever received free or reduced meals. |
Walter Johnson is 16% FARMS, which once again, is greater than 5 even if it is markedly below the county average. The lie is that all W schools are less than 5% FARMs https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/regulatoryaccountability/glance/currentyear/schools/04424.pdf |
It is very hard for people to accept the fact that Ws aren’t all white and all rich. |
DP - sure. Just like it’s very hard for other people to accept the fact that there are high-performing cohorts of kids and parents highly invested in their kids at *all* MCPS high schools. |
Of course people accept that fact. But acknowledging that means losing the moral superiority that comes from being an umc two fed/fed plus dc professional family that snuggly thinks they are better because they live in silver spring and send their kids to all magnets which are better anyway. It goes around and around and around and accomplishes absolutely nothing for the actual problems we face |
Most of them are and the few that aren't are far below the county's mean of 35%. They are also the least diverse schools in MCPS. |
| Oh lord , not this again |
