Sell me on packing cubes!

However, lots of people swear by cubes.

I'd go for the new towels

1. You can buy packing cubes for cheap on Amazon
2. I'm not a super organized person so I find packing cubes to be a lifesaver, especially when traveling from place to place or when I'm living out of a suitcase.

Some people swear by it. So, i bought some...when my kid was younger. For me, these cubes are best for small size clothes, so that would be kids clothes. So, for my petite self, it works great for clothes that are ok being wrinkled. I would use one small cube and rolled my underwears and socks and simple bras. I rolled up all my clothes when packing. So that would mean i pack my shorts and pants in my lightweight backpack. We don't complicate travel. We don't dress up for fancy dinners so no fancy dress or shoes.

If you are a highly organized person, this would help.

If you do not use it, there is no need to start if you don't have a problem with packing kids clothes. Since they are mesh cubes, I find it best if you need to pack small gadgets or toys for travel. If it doesn't fit in there, don't bring the toys-that's how i see it.

You don't need new towels either unless your current towels are all flimsy.

I organize my travel clothes in those reusable tote bags that I also use for other things, like shopping (they're washable). The idea of buying something as specific as packing cubes for the sole purpose of travel feels unnecessary, and I also don't like being limited to the size and shape of the cubes, since we have a few different types of luggage. The benefits of my system seem identical to what people like about the cubes, but I didn't have to buy something new.

I used cotton totes before cubes became a thing. It helps me, a person with ADHD, to pack and organize my luggage. I like the cubes that compress - you can pack more stuff in the luggage this way.
