Buy copy paper instead. A lot of it. Pencils too. Food is nice, but supplies are better. Otherwise, it's teachers buying it themselves. Plus, no paper equals more Chromebook time for students.

I always email my kids teachers (6 in high school now) and ask what supplies they need. White board markers and power strips for kids' charging cords are always the top asks.

It seems like most schools do something. I’ve seen a range from a breakfast spread with breakfast burritos and full breakfasts to muffins and granola bars.
