OP here. Just a curious person.
Asian American men who identify as LGBT are seen as more "American": Researchers found that the hypothetical “gay Asian American man” was perceived as significantly more American than the hypothetical “Asian American man,” whose sexual orientation wasn’t specified. https://www.washington.edu/news/2019/06/27/lgbtq-asian-americans-seen-as-more-american/ From a Gallup poll - 2.5% of adult men identify as gay (and members younger generations are embracing a bisexual identity at much higher rates than before): https://news.gallup.com/poll/389792/lgbt-identification-ticks-up.aspx Interestingly, I'm having a hard time finding data on the number of Asian men in America who identify as gay (there are some surveys and polls that ask about a broad LGBT identity). As you might guess, no one that I could find has asked about family of origin in terms of cross-racial adoption. |
| Your sample size is too small. I’m asian American and know quite a few adopted Asians. Granted most are female, not male. Of the male Asian adopted men I know, none are gay. |

What is the societal prevalence of gay males in China?
Is it higher than in the US ? |
| My brother, son and nephew all Korean adoptees. All straight. |
