Asian boys adopted by White families in the United States

DCUMAD is low-volume.

Especially compared to X, Reddit, 4/Chan, etc.

So unlikely any major conspiracy theories are born here.

Okay none of this may even be the least bit relevant here but I was adopted from Japan as an infant by Caucasian, American parents and I am đź’Ż% heterosexual.

This is stupid and I don’t agree w OP’s analysis but funny enough i actually do know 2 Asian males adopted by white American families and both are gay. 🤷‍♀️

Wasn’t George Takei raised by white parents?

No, he was in the WW2 internment camp with his Japanese parents. You must have missed both his book and musical.

Babies who are adopted out have more stress from birth, as their birth mothers are also more stressed. If they have other bio male siblings, there is also a greater chance of being gay.

Hmmm - notice how his book only makes himself and other Japanese Americans the victims, but completely leaves out any mention whatsoever of the Italian-Americans interred during the same time? Not to mention he left out the German-Americans too.

The Japanese-Americans received an official public apology, lots of publicity, etc.

German and Italian Americans received nothing whatsoever.

Ummm I assume his book is a memoir, not a history book?

Also, nowhere near the same magnitude of abuse against German and Italian Americans

It is a graphic novel assigned in public schools (FCPS for one).

The victim here is the Asian (Japanese-American) boy.

The villain is the menacing US Soldier with the ominous shadow:

No. China is not all of Asia.
Most Korean adoptees are male.
Most do not have a special need.
Not all birth parents didn't want to parent. Many couldn't.

My brothers fit the demographic you are discussing - to my knowledge neither is gay. One is married to a woman, and the other has dated plenty of women but isn't married.

So, they are secretly on the down low. Seems like OP's theory had some merit.

you don't seem to understand the Asian cultures. It's not about the babies being perfect. Sometimes they are put up for adoption because they had the baby out of wedlock, or, like here and elsewhere, they cannot take care of the children.

Asian cultures are still pretty conservative, especially in Asia.

Hm... Were there large internment camps specifically for Italians and Germans; did they get their farms/businesses taken from them?

Isn’t it a form of cultural genocide?

FFS. No, it's not a form of cultural genocide. For one thing, the proportion of babies being adopted internationally is tiny compared to the native population.

Psychologists all recommend against transracial adoption, due to the inevitable traumas the child will experience:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/interactive/2021/transracial-adoption-racial-reckoning/

Or if we didn’t tell the child they should be traumatized by color, they wouldn’t be traumatized. No one was traumatized by loving parenting until the recent years.

well yes, imagine being a little child, torn from your home because of your ethnicity, and a big man with a gun standing near you making you march into a camp where it's cold and dreary.

You'd be scared, too.

Hmm, so you e gone from thinking he has white parents to bring super informed about his memoirs.

This is obviously yet another troll thread.

German and Italian little child were also, “ torn from your home because of your ethnicity, and a big man with a gun standing near you making you march into a camp where it's cold and dreary”

- but George Takai did not take the perfect opportunity to include them. Not even a footnote. No mention of these two similarly-situated groups, whatsoever by George. It is like his ethnicity were the ONLY victims.

There is one difference though: we interned German-Americans TWICE in half a century; forcing them into internment camps before WW 1 as well as WW 2.

Oh - and here’s another difference: only the State of California has officially apologized to the Italian Americans. German-Americans get nothing whatsoever.

How about that, George ?
