OK Dress for Mother of the Groom Rehearsal Dinner?

Anonymous
I love the pattern but not the print. Look at some other TeriJon dresses in a similar pattern. They have others.

I’m a PP who told OP no to her proposed dress. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this blue dress!! Where is it from?!

eShakti

Also you can customize the neckline, the sleeves and the length. Less than $90.

You have time, why don’t you get something from eShakti and then you can pick the length, sleeve, neck, etc? So if you like a dress and it’s showing as no sleeve you can add a sleeve, etc.

Here’s one just for an example :

.

This can be customized. Cost is $90.

This looks like a tablecloth and would overwhelm a petite frame.

How about another dress by that designer?

OP here. Thanks for these. I really want a pretty summer color for a summer event - and hopefully a dress I could wear for future summer weddings. I like short sleeves because the rehearsal will be in a Catholic church, followed by a small family dinner and then a welcome drinks party for all invited guests, so I don't want to be too "cocktail". Also, I am a small-framed size 4, so sometimes dresses with a lot of fabric just overwhelm me.

I like the dress in white and think that would
Be fine for the rehearsal but absolutely do not wear it to anyone’s wedding. Particularly when seated, the top will read white, so any seated reception photos, etc will be inappropriate. What about this w/ solid shoes in one of the flower colors?

Otherwise, get a personal shopper at neimans bc Teri Jon always does specific yet similar dresses just for them. They probably have something similar but not exact.

Agree, and same with the dress at 23:12. Neither of these are flattering. I guess they would have the benefit of making one’s MIL look very unattractive.

OP, I think most of these posters are crazy. This dress is fine. I don't understand people's concerns about "pulling focus" from the bride and groom. As if that could ever happen! This dress seems happy and celebratory. No one would ever confuse it for a wedding dress. Perhaps it is cultural, but the notion of trying to fade into the background at a freaking celebration seems ridiculous to me. At my wedding I want all of the wedding guests to turn it out! It's a party!

+1 I think the white version is fine to wear to the rehearsal dinner, but if you're worried the solution is right in front of you!

Too much white around the face, too loud and attention-grabbing for anything having to do with a wedding

What time is the dinner, OP? Bright florals are too bright for an evening event.
