And what do you hope to learn?

I make an effort to listen to all different viewpoints, especially interviews with leaders of countries who have nukes who we are in a proxy war against. It beats being spoonfed a one-sided media diet.

Putin is an Ex-KGB agent who has found a useful idiot to advance his cause. Tucker wants to get back to where he was in popularity and he’ll debase himself and his country to get there.

I’m sorry to say, based on your post, and a sheepish response to all this, it’s pretty easy to assume you probably support many of the values Putin claims to care about (Christian nationalism, anti-gay policies, “traditional values”). You’re not here because you “just want to avoid war unnecessarily” or whatever excuse you have. You probably straight up don’t like a lot of contemporary liberal values.

If you’re okay with listening to what a guy who keeps on annexing ex-Soviet countries has to say, it’s pretty clear you’re sympathetic to his reasoning.

Nah, I'm a bisexual, non-religious, breadwinner mom born and raised in the DMV. You couldn't be more wrong. I'm sure Jeff could pull all my posts from my ip address.

What do you expect to learn from Putin in this interview? Putin has given several speeches where he has laid out why he invaded Ukraine and why he won't leave.

I don’t think any of that’s accurate at all.

Carlson’s Dad was in the CIA and he is a plant.

He is basically a mouthpiece for Russia. He isn’t looking to “tell the truth”. American conservatives will eat it up. The interview will increase the polarization in our country. The sad part is I realize half the country is extremely conservative and probably look to Russia as a source of hope. It’s a place where gays are vilified because it’s a place of “traditional values”. Where a strongman calls the shots. It’s a Christian nationalists dream.

This whole interview is traitorous and bullsht. All it will do is further erode support for additional assistance to Ukraine and show our WW2 allies we have issues.

What a bunch of whiners you all are.

Don't know what I will learn from this interview because I haven't watched it yet.

You are correct and Tucker has mentioned many times that he applied to the CIA. They have played the long game. Putin's going to look stupid when he's eliminated.

He is a Russian operative. Just like Trump. That should be obvious by now.

It was a rambling historical revisionist fever dream. tucker couldn’t get a word in edgewise. The dictator driveled on about historical boundaries in 1637 to justify the attack and vague claims of denazification. Just stupid. I hope trump hick viewers don’t lap it up, but I’m sure they will.

I'm about halfway through through interview. So far, I have mostly learned that surprisingly, the media has accurately reported Putin's motivations. He feels that NATO's eastward expansion is a problem. And he also believes that Russia has a legitimate historical claim to Ukraine.

Oh he thinks they can just claim it right back with an invasion? That’s pretty fked up.

Gee. By Putin's logic, European countries have a right to invade and retake most of Africa, parts of Southeast Asia and so on. The US has the right to take the Philippines and so on.

Norway has a right to a big swath of Ukraine because of the Norwegian Varangian warriors who founded the Rurikid Dynasty. Russia's invasion is thus violating NATO.
