Short men and romantic relationships

Just wait until your son has a big bank account and income. Women will be swooning over him like flies to manure.

+1 Especially true for women in expensive US coastal cities. It won’t matter how short or ugly your son is, if the bank account is the right size, he’ll have plenty of opportunities. He’ll need to have a good gold digger detector.

Most girls including ones barely making 5 feet themselves, want 5.8 or taller.

Most men including ones barely making 5.6, want women 5.2 or taller.

It feels like 5.8 for men and 5.3 for women is cut off.

My 17 yo ds is about that height and has had a gf for 6 months. And no he is not growing anymore. Sure there are girls that prefer taller men but there are also girls for whom height does not matter.

I WILL say that I have noticed the last few years that there is a social media trend of women putting down short men for laughs as though they have any say in their height. I guarantee they would freak out if there was a widespread similar trend and acceptability of men saying the same about overweight women.

What. Men love short women. And if you are 6’, 5’7” is still short enough.

Is he handsome? Good personality? It is absolutely true short guys have a tougher time. My husband is 5’5 and struggled with dating for many years, even though he is handsome and an all around amazing guy. he said a lot of women would pass him over based on height. But all it takes is one right person. To me he is perfect.

Don't know what to say I was once called short by a woman who was at best 5'2 and I am 5'11 or 6'0 when not slouching.

Just wait until your son has a big bank account and income. Women will be swooning over him like flies to manure.

So basically he can’t just have an average career or will end up alone.

Tell him to Google "short king" and own it. Confidence is extremely attractive

A short guy can find a woman, but the woman may not be "high value" according to most men. Most average to below average people have to settle to some degree, and not shoot for above their league.

There is a lid for every pot, if people are willing to lower their expectations. My brother is 5'4", only earns like $90K and managed to find a wife (who is also 5'4"), but she is not "high value" -- ordinary in every sense of the word.

I am a 6' woman and my DH of 20 years is 5'7". My previous long term boyfriend was 5'3". Woman who are not superficial will not care about height.
