If journalists actually practiced journalism, there would be no place for people like Rufo, who isn't a true journalist.
We used to have a media corp that did their jobs, held people in power to account. But, that is not true today. The majority of the journalists today are liberal, that is indisputable. Seems as if far too many of them view their jobs as protecting Democrats at the expense of reporting news or doing investigative journalism. |

I think that’s the point. |
Rufo is an example of a modern muckraker. They have their purpose as part of the journalistic establishment. From the Wikipedia entry: While cautioning about possible pitfalls of keeping one's attention ever trained downward, "on the muck", Teddy Roosevelt emphasized the social benefit of investigative muckraking reporting, saying: There are, in the body politic, economic and social, many and grave evils, and there is urgent necessity for the sternest war upon them. There should be relentless exposure of and attack upon every evil man whether politician or business man, every evil practice, whether in politics, in business, or in social life. I hail as a benefactor every writer or speaker, every man who, on the platform, or in book, magazine, or newspaper, with merciless severity makes such attack, provided always that he in his turn remembers that the attack is of use only if it is absolutely truthful. — Theodore Roosevelt |
And please tell us what defines a “true journalist.” |

The point of sex is to have children? What about that Mom's for Liberty couple who had a threesome? Was the man trying to impregnate the woman he raped? |

From Ken Popehat: It would be wrong to see this as just a prudish or Victorian or even sincerely religious attitude about sex. It’s about control. It’s about the authority of the state intruding into more and more parts of life, and about making more and more people complicit in the abuse of power. The Nazis’ increasingly all-encompassing laws didn’t just serve policy goals. They served to normalize the idea of the state having authority in every segment of life, and to make more and more people complicit in enforcing that authority. That’s what totalitarianism means. The Nazis passed anti-Jewish laws that forced more and more people to be complicit in enforcement and part of the machine excluding, shunning, and abusing Jews. The American Right wants abortion laws, IVF laws, contraceptive laws that will make more and more doctors, nurses, etc. complicit. The fundamental concept is that most people, rather than stand up and say “I’m a terrible person if I go along with this,” will go along and rewrite their mental map to agree with it rather than think themselves terrible. | Rufo and Barri Weiss are fascinating because in a time of crushing uniformity in journalism, they recognized a huge market opportunity for contrarian voices. Kudos to both of them. |

Do you think he'd be part of Trump's administration in some way, if Trump is elected? |
