How come every person under 30 has a tattoo now?

A small parakeet can easy turn into an extra large bird of prey with a little sagging.

Is that Tweetie Boob?

Haha! YES! 😆

Except they're all the same.

This. They all kind of resemble minecraft worlds (procedurally generated). Unique, but also pretty much the same.

Mine don’t but all their cousins do and they will look ridiculously outdated very soon.

I think we are reaching peak tattoo.

For me the issue isn’t how they look, it’s that it’s more or less permanent. People often change considerably from 18 to middle age, any decision you made as a young adult to get a tattoo is going to be something that affects you for the rest of your life.

Bc she has personhood and is not an object and your assessment counts for nothing.

Not something I think about. And not something you should either. Mind your business.

NP.

I also think tattoos are ugly. Their popularity nowadays is just one more example of how civilization is in decline.

Some of us grew up when only biker gangs and prisoners had them. They make my skin crawl. The worst are sleeves.

How old are you, 100?

Well seeing as Jews as whole don't really believe in Heaven (or hell), your arbitrary rule doesn't matter.

Jews don't believe in Heaven.

The tattoo thing has something to do with burial in a Jewish cemetery but I don't think that's really enforced. Tons of Jews have tats.

Anyway, I don't really like tattoos and don't have any. I don't care what other people do.

You don't know the people you're judging and it makes zero impact on your lives. Maybe they're symbolic, maybe they just like butterflies, maybe the sleeve is covering up another tattoo of their ex-wife's name, maybe it's names of their dead children, maybe they just want a tramp stamp, who cares. I can't believe this not-a-topic has become a 3 page thread of people complaining about complete strangers. 🙄

It sucks when you’re trying to date and almost everyone in the dating pool has one.

I date men, and like men who are in good shape. Although I don't care for tattoos, they tend to look okay on a toned male bicep or back. I wouldn't call it a deal breaker on someone I liked. Leg and neck tattoos are pretty gross though.

You grew up with all kinds of other stuff that you all seem okay with, that makes my skin crawl. The worst is racism? Or open misogyny? Homophobia? How about all those ridiculous habits? Like smoking in the house and giving your kids cancer?

I'm of the older generation as well and you are extremely naive if you think racism, misogyny and homophobia are any better today. Open miosyny?
We achieved reproductive rights and easy access to birth control. Where are we now??? And our generation fought the tobacco companies and for laws to ban smoking inside. Educate yourself young person.

PP here. Sorry for the typo - should say open misogyny?

I reject the premise.
