Is it rare to take Honors Chemistry in 10th and then AP Chemistry in 12th? My kid really enjoyed Chemistry and wants more of it ( she took Honor Bio in 9th, and she's taking DE Environmental Science in 11th.)
Are there any ramifications for skipping physics altogether? Majors being considered: Marketing, Biochemistry, History, International Relations) |
My sense is that skipping physics altogether in high school when it’s offered is a path less traveled in competitive high schools. Are they planning to double up in some other area? |

If your child is interested more in Math physics do all highest allowed classes for Math, Physic and CS at your school do do Bio ,chem HN. If child is not interested in STEM engendering do AP Bio, Chem and other AP classes take Math Physic HN. |

This topic is extremely interesting. What do suggest for DC for 12th, who has taken an unconventional path for sciences
9th: Honors bio 10th: Chem 11th: AP Psychology 12th: AP physics or AP Comp Sci, other? Doesn't enjoy the sciences, took psychology instead of Ap physics in 11th to see if interested him as related to his pursuit of a marketing/advertising major and career. |
