Did anyone see Dolly halftime performance?!

Anonymous
I didn't see it, but I saw a pic of her during her performance and she looks great!

Her hot pants had fake booty sewn in. However, she is an entertainer and she entertained. It is remarkable that she is still out there performing and rocking the hot pants and cleavage baring blouse. Yes, I am sure it means lots of surgery and lots of special costume, fabric, makeup and other fake things - but, she looked better than most people I know and that is a win.

Pretty sure that's just a step-in costume, not her real body, boobs and all. That was not real skin on her stomach, that's for sure.

It was late November after dark, a bit nippy for shorts. I’d have been surprised if she hadn’t worn an extra layer for warmth.

The stocking material even extends down to her fingers, past her palms.

I watched an interview with her recently and she wore some type of glove but showed her fingertips. I think it’s that her hands just look like 77 yr old grandma hands.

Her décolletage is smooth and not crepey. She’s obviously having work done but it’s top-notch and doesn’t look freakish.

I think the décolletage is covered by the costume also. I'm not criticizing; the woman is 77 and looks amazing. She's also an entertainer, and entertainers commonly wear clothes designed for just that. Dolly is a talented songwriter, singer, actress, businessperson, philanthropist, etc. etc. and she deserves every bit of her success.

How 'bout that lip syncing?!

It was to her own live recording of the songs, rather than the originals, at least.

Ridiculous.

I cannot think of another celeb who is instantly recognized and beloved—whether you are a fan or not.

She is truly one of a kind: a marketing genius who has poured a significant amount of her money into charity.

And: she is all about positivity and love.

I heard her interviewed and sing live at a conference in Nashville where she was honored for her philanthropy. She literally lit up the ballroom with her sparkly outfit, bedazzled guitar, and energetic personality.

She just might be the best American ever.

I agree. That is why the fact that 80% of the posts on this thread are about how she looked is depressing as hell.

We are such a vapid culture. Who cares what she looked like. She would be a national treasure regardless.

Who cares! Good for her for having the confidence to wear what she wants and enjoy herself. Someone needs to keep pushing the boundaries out for older women, and glad she's out there doing it.

I love Dolly, but if anyone else her age did it, besides maybe Cher, people would be so merciless. I am sure there are other ladies out there who aren't celebrities that could look like that with the special costume and all the help she has.

Her positive impact is in her song and her charity work. What she looks like should not be so important. She shouldn't have to worry about that boundary in the first place.

I remember the usually unflappable Johnny Carson interviewing her on the Tonight Show when she was in her her prime. He couldn’t keep his eyes off her chest, & pointing to her blouse, he said something like, “I’d give a month’s pay to see what’s in there.”

He was wretched. Not worthy of licking her boots.

Isn't that why she spent so much money on them, to be ogled? What other reason then?

You’re gonna get some bs line about how she probably did it for her but we all know you’re right.

I read an article online yesterday about how a lot of conservatives, including many in Texas, criticized the selection of Dolly for this performance because she donated millions to the development and roll out of the covid vax which many of them believe is responsible for killing many people. She also promoted it herself. Of course there is no data documenting the covid vax killing people, except in a lot of people's minds which is basically all they need as proof.
