Names from the 1880s with pretty soft sounds:
Clara
Florence (Flossie!)
Henrietta or Harriet (Hettie!)
Pauline
Marian
Mamie (presidential connections!)
Eunice (I know a cute kindergartner with this name)
Myra

More from the 1890s, same softness:
Beatrice
Vera (She can see Vera Lynn every Christmas)
Marjorie

Glynis would be a banging middle name.

Wow most of these names are kind of ugly and just make me appreciate Charlotte more. Mamie? Eunice? Myra? Pauline?

Sometimes the relative popularity or unpopularity of a name is very explainable.

And some people are basic and lack vision. What can you do?

Dp I embrace basic. At least my kids wont have to explain why they are named after their parents fan fiction or some tv show.

Just use Charlotte. Popular names now aren’t the same as when we were kids. My older child has two Charlottes in her grade, my younger daughter has none. It’s not like Sarah and Jennifer.

Camille
Cecilia
Eliza
Seraphine

But we're really having a hard time narrowing them down. Do you like any of these in particular or have another suggestion? Hoping DCUM hive-mind will provide some insight!

FWIW my second grader does not have any Charlottes in her grade but has one Camille, one Eliza and 2 Cecelia’s.

Go ahead and name your DD Eunice and then explain to her that if people don't like her name, they "lack vision." It will give her something to discuss with her therapist later.
