What would you do? Random kid showed up and set up a lemonade stand on our lawn

I’m not sure why everyone is doubting a lemonade stand in November. It’s not ideal, but it was warm and kids get ideas. It’s not out of the range of possibility in my pov.

Dropping your kid off at some random person's house and letting them setup a lemonaide stand there is insane.

Someone drop their probably 10 year old kid off with a lemonade stand at the corner of the property, did not ask for permission and left the child there unsupervised. Upon finding this set up we gave the kid $40 and asked them to call their mom to pick them up because we didn’t know this child and didn’t feel comfortable having them on the property alone and inviting strangers to stop by and have noise from the stand as MIL is in recovery. Their mother came and was screaming at us, called us names and claimed we were hurting this child by not letting them have their lemonade stand at the corner of our lawn and that we were ruining their childhood. We told them to go or we would call the police. Did we do the right thing? What would you have done?

I would not have given them a penny and I would have called the police on the crazy.mother. The entitlement of people today is mind boggling!

Right. The insane woman who thinks nothing of letting her brats set up a lemonade stand on a stranger's lawn!

Seriously. 10 year olds aren’t allowed to walk home from school, but totes fine to leave them on some strangers lawn?

Corner houses need to just accept they will be the corner for bus stops and lemonade stands. You don't own the property next to the street so it's not your property.

He made $40 in 5 minutes from a lemonade stand in November. OP has a heart, and it's a goddamn wallet to boot.

I tell you true that if I ever by a corner lot, I'm factoring in the price of a fence to be set up before I move in.
