Everywhere.

Google it or go to DM.

I think it’s weird. 45 years and you call it quits? You can’t work it out or accept the relationship for what it is?

I wonder if either wants to date?

Why should anyone accept the relationship for what it is? And Meryl Streep can afford it! Just because she is older doesnt mean she doesnt deserve happiness.

The Golden Bachelor is 72. These people can have another 20 years of life if they live to be in their 90s.

My grandmother passed away in her late 80s.

I think a “3-3” would be ideal: a 3 month sabbatical every 3 years. You live apart, do your own thing, travel, be around new people, maybe even agree to non-monogamy during that time period. Take some time to be alone and enjoy the silence.

It honestly sounds ideal. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, imho.

Most people who are married do not want their spouse to fck other people.

If you are content then you aren’t apt to divorce in your 70s when you could easily live separately at your multiple homes.

^^^
Think: the Clintons.

By contrast, the Gores were younger and miserable when they divorced.

I believe the Gore’s are still married but separate lives and dating others.

Fergie and Andrew live like this too. They even have breakfast together after spending the night with their respective partners!

But they are divorced and she can’t afford to live without him.

+1
Also, they are both incredibly weird.

There were rumors 6 years ago that she had an affair with Jack Nicholson following a film they made.

Nooo that’s likely Diane Keaton.
Meryl Streep has the hots for Alec Ballscratcher

He may have a drinking problem. I do not know this but seem to recall rumors way back when....

See, it's posts like these that are just beyond absurd. You're repeating a rumor with zero substantiation. Why? Why smear someone for no good reason?

The poster was very transparent regarding the fact that this was a rumor. People can make of it what they will.

Let’s not act like this forum is some peer reviewed journal! 😂

Hence PP's "maybe"

Look at the stats for dementia and other illnesses. A 72 year old man is looking for a nurse he can have a good time with until she becomes his nurse.

It's just beyond tiresome reading these idiotic threads in which randos make up nonsense and then that nonsense becomes "fact" among other randos. There have been whole threads smearing actors/celebrities, based on nothing more than a rumor.

What and old f’d up way to look at life to think divorce is “sad” .

Fly be free!

How old are you? Asking because my 50-something single friends, in honest moments, are not liking the future they see for themselves in old age.

Neither are my 60+ married friends, particularly the women who married older men.

Can you saw more about this? Divorcing when the kids go to college is my plan. What are their concerns?
NP. If money is no issue and the kids are grown, why stay in a marriage that you do not want anymore?

I just read this story about her and John. I thought it strange the timing of the story since I never heard about it before. Now I’m thinking it’s her PR team spinning the wheels!

I have never really read much about then either. Here’s a 2016 article about them.
https://nypost.com/2016/04/23/the-tragic-romance-that-shaped-meryl-streeps-life/

Random question about a quote from this article about Meryl and John, but somewhat related since we’re talking about her dating prospects:

“They were great to look at, because they were kind of funny-looking, both of them,” said the playwright Israel Horovitz. “They were lovely in their way, but it was a really quirky couple. They were head-turners, but not because, ‘Wow, is she a beauty!’ ”

Would you describe her as “kind of funny looking”?

Yes, but also beautiful, and coupled with her intelligence and skill in acting, I'm sure there are many men who would love to date her.
