So she faked being a virgin the whole time? Her life seems messed up. Her mom wrote a tell all where I believe she said she allowed britney to sleep with her football star boyfriend in her house at 16. Then she says she wanted to keep the baby but justin pressured her not to so she got rid of it. It's sad. I think all that affected her mental health later in life.

Look she's 1) mentally very unwell so her recollection of events from 20 years ago is suspect. 2) even if true she's the one that got the abortion and didn't have to. She was a millionaire and would've been fine. 3) why dig this up now? Money? Attention?

Nothing about the performance was a “malfunction” of any kind.
They just underestimated the negative feedback it would receive from the superbowl-viewing crowd who was “shocked” and “offended” to see such a display at a family-friendly show.
And their PR team caved to that, issuing the ridiculous “explanation” that it was a wardrobe malfunction.
Both Justin and Janet knew it wasn’t true (it was rehearsed and done intentionally), but they just went with that.

How does it not look good for him? Most men/boys don't want to be a gather at 17 or 20. If a woman can choose to have an abortion because she doesn't want to be a mother than why can't a man not want to be a father? It still came down to being her choice.

Because they aren’t pro-choice for parents. They are pro-choice for women. (Whatever “women” means anymore)
And it sounds like she was pressured/co-erced into making “her choice” so that it matched what he wanted.

I think pretty much any 20yo guy, particularly a rising pop star, would react this way. And I don't think it makes them a jerk TBH.

Why is being honest about not being ready for a kid “being a jerk”?

I just think it seems like it affected her emotionally more than it did for him, and that he wasn’t there for her. I agree that a baby would have been a disaster. But like so many guys, he had no problem getting her pregnant and seemed to be emotionally unavailable when she suffered the repercussions of it.

Imagine that a 20 yo not being emotionally available. This is true for women and men.

Sure, but men don’t have to deal with the ultimate decision and possible trauma of aborting a pregnancy.

Slightly different, but my husband wound up taking a miscarriage harder than I did emotionally. Men can surprise you sometimes.

He was with me 100% when we made the decision (not at all a hard one, honestly) at 21 to terminate a pregnancy-we had just started dating. Took me to the clinic, sat with me inside until it was time, then took care of me the whole weekend.

It was a mistake, like lots of young people make. I had actually just gotten a new pack of pills after having been off of them for a few months. I had double protected in college. We were 21 and made one dumb mistake. It happens to so many people. We knew we were not ready for a child and we were glad we had the option to terminate. I fully admit to making a mistake, as would my now husband. We made the right decision for our lives at the time and married 5 years later, had our beautiful girls and have gone on to have a good life. Our children are wanted and loved and born when we were ready to be parents.

ok, now that I have read the article, I don't think Justin really did anything wrong. He just didn't want a child then. She COULD have had the baby alone had she really wanted to keep the pregnancy - that was her choice. Granted, she likely had a TON of pressure to terminate from all sides.

I wasn't inside the relationship, and I do feel bad for her if she felt like she had to against her wishes, but she did at least have a CHOICE.
