He is sexy. He is talented. He is kind. He is his own person. What’s hard to understand?

What he's singing?

Stop posting your stupid questions and use your handy tool the Internet to Google these questions. Your ignorance isn’t attractive.

That was my first post. Your nastiness is not attractive either. I couldn't understand a word he said. When people like a song, it's because both the music AND the lyrics are moving. So sorry, the music was so-so and I don't speak Spanish so....

Also his simulated sex scenes were pretty standard issue Superbowl halftime fare.

I didn’t watch last night but he is hilarious in Happy Gilmore 2.

In contrast, I think Taylor Swift is really boring and one note.
Wow, page 3 before someone brought up Taylor in a completely unrelated thread. I’m impressed. Gotta meet that daily quota of Taylor hate.

Simulated sex? What halftime show were YOU watching? I definitely didn’t see that.

They all do it. Superbowl halftime shows are like going to a strip club.

If you don’t get him, you don’t get him.

Do you "get him"? If so, can you articulate why?

He’s extremely talented and many of his songs have brilliant and progressive lyrics, especially considering the machismo culture he and many of his fans were raised in.

Dei lyrics were the soup du jour when he was propped up and put out there.

Would he have this 5-sevonds of fame if it weren't for ICE making headlines?

😂 He was very famous BEFORE he started talking about ICE

Then call a spade a spade. He’s dumb.
He’s no Kendrick Lamar.
They tried to make this be that, but it was never meant to be.
Can’t wait to see him what they choose to showcase next year.

OP, here's a panegyric in the NYT (gift article):

I don't like pop music at all, but I respect any artist trying to weave serious socio-political messaging into their art.

I am 75. Heard of him. Never heard him.
Saw halftime. First Superbowl halftime I watched ALL of. Ever.
He is good looking, charismatic, has a magnetic vibe, moves well.
I did not see the sex scene sim and crotch action some complain about. There have been pole dancers in the halftime shows ffs.
His outfit was baggy.

Millions and millions of people the world over who don’t speak English listen to American and British pop and rock music and don’t understand a word of it. Americans listen to opera in other language and K pop is huge in this country. This notion that you have to understand the language to enjoy a song is ridiculous.
