This basically applies to all European universities…

Basically how US colleges used to operate.

Don’t try to make that argument to educated people here or in Britain … you’ll be laughed out of the room

By the old guard yes, but just like in the US elite universities are lowering their standards to seek a broader audience enabling dedicated hardworking institutions to rise. It is happening at St Andrews in the UK and at a number of schools in the US as well.

It will take a few more years for widespread attitude change to occur. But it will come before the decade is out. So enjoy your hubris while you can.

45% of St Andrews are from other countries so I’m not sure I trust any comparison of entry standards.

The idea that St Andrews students have higher entry standards than those at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and LSE just shows there’s an issue with the league tables.

Current UCAS tariffs so yes St Andrews appears to have higher entry standards
St Andrews - 212
Cambridge - 208
Oxford - 203

yeah, FDA and UK permitted medicines are not lined up at all. I get that.

Not only are advanced medicines not even available, there aren't even specialists there who deal with DC's particular problem. They simply don't exist (no, this is serious and back related and not medical). The Brits come here for treatment.
