Does your high school kid's sport require they dress up (for class) on game days?

| It’s not just sports team. At our high school, the theater kids dress up opening day. I think it shows pride in their hard work and team spirit. I like it. |

| We are outside the DMV but on game days the football players wear shirt and tie. Girlfriends of the football players often wear their boyfriend’s jersey or letterman jacket. |

I did this in the 90s at my public, very middle class, high school in upstate NY. I played soccer and basketball. Home games were team gear, away games were dress up (or vice versa...I don't remember). My son does cross country and they don't do this or anything on meet days. Daughter plays soccer and they wear team spirit wear on game days, but they don't dress up.
