I asked my Hardy kid who is in JR with Deal kids right now. He said Hardy ones do better than Deal kids. Something about Hardy being smaller and teacher having more time for one-on-one.
'The smartest Hardy ones went to Banneker and Walls'. Not my words. |
With Walls turning admissions upside down and Hardy feeding inti MacArthur, who knows what high performers will choose. |
| If you have a strong student, you really want/need them to at least take Algebra in 8th grade so that they are on track to take calculus in high school. |
I'm the PP who was wondering why 40% is mentioned as a bad number. That makes total sense that a strong student would want to take Calculus in high school, but what I don't understand is how is it bad that 40% of students in Hardy are strong in Math? Or is it just reflective of an Hardy pyramid area where it is considered that if you can't get accepted to an Ivy you are a dummy? |
