Are people still having children 35+?

I had 2 kids by the time I was 24. They are 4 and 6 now. About half my friend have kids.

32, 35 and 41 here. I don't live in DC though. But I don't feel like an old mom even here in my boondocky part of the country. There's another mom from my daughter's preschool class who is also 45 like I am.

My friend texted me this morning she is expecting her first. She is 45.

I know one mom friend in DC area who had kids before 30 - most have 1-2 kids in early to late 30s. Totally normal!

I’m pregnant with my first at 30. Every doctor I saw leading leading up to and during TTC talked about how young I was. I feel a bit like a teen mom! In DC.

I lived in a region of the country where many women had children in their teens and most had at least one child by 22 years old. That actually made me want to wait a long time to have kids. Those women were always stressed and just dragging their children along or leaving them with grandma so they could go party. No thanks!
