I am confident I am not the only one who will walk away from favorites because these prices are absurd.

I find this difficult to believe. I live in NYC and a bagel with cream cheese at my local bagel shop is $5. $8 for a shitty Einstein bagel?

I’m in Silicon Valley where everything is more expensive than the DMV. Einstein’s is Noah’s out here and a regular bagel toasted with butter or cream cheese is under $5. Really curious where she found an $8 bagel.

I will say that paying $9 .95 for a five guys burger and 7.95 for French fries is a bridge too far for us.

Yes, I noticed the hamburger places now sell fries separately from the burger, but they still charge $10 or $12 for just the burger.

Einstein Bagel in Falls Church has a plain bagel and schmear for $3.98.

I tried but it didn’t work. Possibly because my kid isn’t popular enough or possibly because the public bus lines go to the mall but not to our house. But I’ve got a freezer full of Costco chicken nuggets, frozen burritos etc!

You can find these prices online through apps for fast food and fast casual.

Steak items start at ~$11 at Chipotle. A little hamburger at Five Guys is $7.99. A little fry (which shareable, but still) is $5.49. The cheapest pick 2 at Panera is ~$10. A chicken sandwich combo at CFA is ~$10.

I priced out the same thing at Chevy Chase Einstein bagel and it was also $3.98. PP is a liar.
