Beach house dreaming -- where would you buy?

We owned a house on Hilton Head for 20 years (sold in 2021). We loved it, but it was a haul to get there. We ended up going for two weeks a year (Spring Break and Thanksgiving week). You are definitely not getting a beachfront house for $1.5M. But you could get something less than a 5 min walk to the beach for that money.
