Four are FB friends, so we’ll like and comment on each other’s posts. I haven’t seen them in person in 13 years.

One, but I'm not on Facebook. I've seen the others at reunions.

Are you 18?
I'm not the person you quoted, but man, you sound like a bitter old crusty lady. Hating on the pp because she has a larger friend group than you. Actually, now that you mention it, you sound like an 18yo.

Thank you for confirming you are still in your juvenile years.

I didn't grow up in the DMV, but have lived here since law school. I went to a small public HS in a suburban area. I'm still in close touch with 2 friends who were ES, MS and HS classmates. One of them also lives in the DMV and one lives on the west coast. I'm in occasional touch with another half-dozen friends from HS who lives throughout the US and in Europe. I'm an ambivert and I like my quiet time, but also really value friendship. I make an effort to stay connected to people and am also open to making new friends. In addition to college and law school friends, as an adult, I've made friends through work, neighborhood proximity, church, my kids' schools and sports, book groups and tennis. One of my greatest joys in life is that my kids (in college and young adults in their 20s) are good friends and have good friends. Friendship is a blessing for which I am grateful every day.

3. I still take weekend trips with two of them. The third is still back in my hometown and was an absolute rock for me when my parent was sick and later died.

I hated HS.

Those who talk about how they still have the same friend group forget how mean they were to others in high school.

Regularly: 2 on group chat
Irregularly: 2-4
LinkedIn: 6-10

I moved out of the state at 17 when I graduated and never returned or I would probably be in touch with more. My hometown is a place where the vast majority have stayed to have their own families so I’d venture many classmates have stayed more in touch. I also don’t do Facebook, or I will probably be in touch with many more that way!

Do you have friends? This is what friends do…sheesh you must be a blast.

8 friends that I text on a group text chat every day. We take a yearly vacation together. I've known 1 since third grade, 6 since 7th grade, and 1 since 10th. I am friends with about 50 on Facebook.

I hardly speak to anyone from college- my mom was very sick and died of cancer at that time, and I don't remember much.

Very few maybe just 2

I'm sorry you had a bad experience in high school. No one deserves to be tormented. Please be aware, though, that not all people are bullies in high school.

0 - they're still a bunch of redneck bumpkins who didn't want for more than a job at the dollar general and a fancy pick up truck.

Zero from high school. The one I did talk to died a few years ago. 2 from college.
