Duke isn't on the dream list of colleges for students ? It's on dream list for parents though 😅

Same with Yale, it wasn't on the dream list for students but was in the top 10 dream schools for parents right behind Duke

Lots of kids turning down Penn this year just from what I've seen, looks like they'll have to go somewhat deep in the waitlist this year

Absolute nonsense. Penn is consistently ranked among dream schools for high school kids. Penn is a smart choice.

Doesn't change the fact that lots of kids are turning it down this year. No one is saying Penn is bad, just an observation about where kids are choosing

You admit of course your observations are based on little data...and at the HS one town over for some reason "lots" of kids are turning down Duke.

BTW, schools accept more kids then they have slots based on expected yield. It is unusual to ever go deep into the waitlist at a Top 10 school, even in what one could consider a low-yield year.

By deep I mean ~200+ off the waitlist

Strongly agree.

Not true. Wharton isn't what it used to be or Penn. my neighbors chose Duke and I know at least few others who chose Duke over Penn. cross admit is 50-50 though

Alright well since your neighbors did that, okay lol.
The truth is that Penn and Wharton are constantly improving.

Penn May be closer to dmv if that's a consideration
