What was the reason for the PIP?

You sound kind of naive. PIP is the kiss of death, it’s just to make firing not litigious and then gives you time to find other work. Once you are on a PIP, management’s main concern is documenting how you fail it.

What is the point of saying this? Not only does she have a new job, if you read the thread she said she knew she was getting fired as soon as she was on the PIP so she had started looking.

I hadn’t read the whole thread when I wrote it and when I realized it was too late to take back.
