I heard Norwood was a jewish school? |
Meaning what, exactly? Its roots are as an Episcopal school, and the school does a Nativity pageant each year. |
Has Norwwod lost its roots? |
I believe they say the Lord's Prayer in chapel every day.
I apologize in advance if I am misinterpreting your question, but it sounds awfully like you are asking if there are too many Jews at Norwood. Is that really what you want to know? |
Re: Norwood being a "Jewish" school. Who cares? It is clearly not a Jewish education school, so why does anyone care how many Jewish families attend? |
omg for anyone concerned about too many Jews, go to Beauvoir. Don't worry about too many at norwood or any school that requires chapel. Unbelievable. |
Maybe someone is trying to spread false rumirs about norwood. |
We are looking for diversity among religion, Beauvoir appears more Christian than Norwood, but perhaps I am wrong? |
What is "diversity among religion"? Most of the leading independent schools will have families from a variety of faiths. |
Please don't go to Norwood if this Jewish issue concerns you. The school would be better off with less people (Jewish or non-Jewish) caught up in that. |
As the parent of a child entering Norwood next year, I'll second that. |
We want our Jewish son to feel comfortable there, will he with all this going on? |
I think "all this" is really just one or two people whose children are not attending the school. I wouldn't worry. |
Totally agree. I know a lot of Christian and Jewish families at Norwood, and honestly have never heard this come up in any fashion before. Some are religious, some are secular Christians/Jews, but again does not seem to be an "issue" on the campus in any way. |
Unfair comment. I'm a former Beauvoir parent. I am pretty sure that each grade had at least one Jewish parent in each grade when we were there. |
