Do packing cubes actually make things easier?

I was the +2 poster. I don't use ziplocs for my suitcases, I use regular plastic bags that I get from stores for free. That said, my kids come home with stuff in ziplocs all the time, which I do save and reuse I may start using them for packing.

It helps if you are an organized person who needs to compartmentalize things. It doesn't work if you have large size item like if you are 6'5 with very huge shirts and pants. It's helpful for small size items.
