| does anyone know how many spots they (WIS) have for 9th grade and how many they will accept for 9th? is it an entry year? |
| Mine didn't get an offer. And - ouch - not even waitlisted. |
Same. Also not ideal/considerate that they seemingly staggered the rollout of their decisions. |
| is WIS as desirable compared to the usual Big3/5? |
| Does applying for Financial Aid make you a less desirable applicant at WIS. |
Absolutely. |
| Absolutely NOT! Admissions are need blind at all schools. |
This is not true. Admissions are not need blind at all schools. Do your research. From, Someone who needs significant FA |
I’m not sure how a school can be truly need blind when one of the questions on the main application form is “will you be applying for financial aid?”. It is right there on the second page of the application. |
| what the admissions people get to see if prob not the same as what the teachers see. And admissions people don't maek the decisions. |
| WIS waitlist does move. |
You clearly don’t know the AO at this school. |
What do you mean? We were rejected and had applied for FA. |
It's not an "official" entry year--spots are available only by attrition--but more kids leave at 9th than at most other years so more spots open up (of course, lots more kids also are applying, so I'm not sure 9th is an easier admit than 8th or 10th, e.g., it probably varies from year to year). |
AO absolutely makes the decisions |
