I was the youngest of 4 sisters and they needed a 4th person to play Spades and Rummy. I started playing when I was about 7yo. |

We grew up playing pinochle, gin rummy, hearts and a few others. My grandparents were advid card players, and played Bridge with friends.
They'd set the card table up every morning we stayed with them and we'd play on and off all day. Taking breaks for us to go play or walk to the playground. I have some great memories of that time. My kids like to play Texas Hold Em . I should teach them Hearts though, it's a classic.

| We played just about everything already mentioned. Two others are Help Your Neighbor with cards and dice and Fire. |
| I play 65 with my friends twice a week, it's also sometimes called Pay Me. It's a rummy game, lots of fun, instructions easily available if you google it. Also table rummy. |
I think we had the same childhood We still have a Michigan Rummy board at my parents' house. I loved Pitch as a kid and played Euchre all the time in college. I don't think I could tell you how to play any of these games anymore.

| Somehow my less than active spouse got both our boys into online Blackjack. It did accelerate their math skills... |

Euchre
Hearts Rummy Up and Back Texas Hold ‘em (for small amounts of money or candy or something to keep it honest) |
| We pasted a lot of cards games but Pinocle was the ‘family’ game. Growing up you would sit on mom/dads lap and throw out the cards. Then you started to play early in the night as a young teen getting help from adults on bidding. Than you graduated to the adult game in the late evenings. It was brutal. |

I couldn't get over my kids friends dads who didn't know how to play poker.
I honestly thought that's like a pre requisite for a boy lol and I'm a girl who leaned as a kid from family hahaha Just saying, I feel like poker is a game that you don't need to ever play a lot of if you don't want to but knowing how to play it is a good thing. Kinda like changing a flat or driving stick. Even as a reference so in life you know what people are talking about! lol |
I'll share also that I'm a Director level corporate girl UMC income so I'm not someone who frequents casinos or uneducated. I just find poker, among many card games, a game that you want to know how to play.

Bridge Canasta Little kids card games: Fish Old Maid Another one that I can't remember. I was playing Bridge, and winning, by age of 12. Sadly, no one plays Bridge anymore. |
