OP this is a DCUM rarity in that 99.99 percent agree that you are not a nice person. |
I read this is Mrs. X’s voice (Laura Linney) 🙂 |
Apropos of nothing, because it has nothing to do with this situation- this literally could be anyone. Even OP could choke,right? And she's worried about if the nanny is qualified? Or what? I don't get it.
BUT ...for choking, there are devices now like Life Vac. Suction devices. We have one, and I think I'll buy more, such as one in the car. Op, what will you do if there's an anaphylaxis, or heart attack, or car accident from another driver, or anything? How is it her fault? I can see if she took a Fentanyl laced codeine and your DH had to Narcan her after lunch. Then we could have a conversation, but what exactly is your question here? ***Yay, for Dad, though. Impressed he was able to save her. |
I'm glad everything is fine. Maybe she was rushing eating. She needs to take her time |
+1. Grapes are notorious for for choking as is popcorn (our pediatrician wouldn’t let our kids have it all until age 4); hot dogs and solid potatoes and chucks of chicken. |
Nanny here - agreed. I’m so tired of just being the help. I’ve been with my family for 15 years and pretty sure my boss would react the same as op. It’s all about YOU. |
Why would you stay with someone that long? You are part of the problem. |
I'd check to see how she is doing and probably give her a day or two paid off if she feels she needs them. |
You sound horrible. Let her have the week off or find a family daycare. Let her eat her lunch in peace |
I’ve also heard you can use a gallon milk jug midway between zip hood and navel. |
* xiphoid |
my guess is she'll be more careful to chew her food thoroughly in the future so I doubt this will be a repeat. However, anyone can drop dead of a heart attack, stroke, anything, at any time.
life is fragile and precious. |
Are you suggesting that people who choke to death are somehow incompetent? That seems very victim-blaming. |
I agree. |
Explain yourself. |
