| Wonder why so many athletes don't resemble their parents. |
I'd add Lamar Jackson to this group too. But I agree, way more interesting than a couple aging QB stars that need to Retire Already. |
What do you mean by that |
| Joe Burrow has as many playoff wins as all other Bengals quarterbacks combined. |
This is true. The Ravens are by far a much better team than the Bengals Signed, A non- bitter Ravens fan. |
Damning with faint praise
|
Yup, I mean, they were one ridiculously bad play-call away from being bumped in the first round Signed, Bitter (but feeling optimistic now that Roman is gone) Ravens fan |
Oooh looks who's complaining about officiating now!
|
Op definitely got them mixed up |
No. play-calling, not officiating. That QB sneak from the 3 yard line. That wasn't bad officiating; it was bad coaching [though there was a block in the back on Andrews on the fumble return, but that doesn't excuse the horrible play call] |
Huntley panicked on the 3 yard non-sneak and the fumble return Td took all the wind out of me. I’m getting slightly nervous that they haven’t hired an OC. It could be that they’re waiting for a candidate to emerge after the Super Bowl. I don’t know the business side of football but I’m getting nervous that the Lamar contract will cripple other positions that need to be filled and we’ll have to make some cuts due to the cap space. |
The bolded really says it all. |
Yeah, I think they only have about 30 million in cap space right now and all of that will go to Lamar, which really limits off season moves. |
Does it though? When he got hurt in 2021, they were 8-3 and were the #1 seed in the AFC. When he got hurt in 2022, they were leading the division and still in the hunt for the #1 seed. They had the best secondary in football last year, and honestly did the job against Burrow & Chase in the playoffs. It's not crazy to think this team would have had a shot last year and this year if LJ doesnt get hurt |
Oh sorry, I misread. I agree, that was a head-scratcher. Arrogance I guess. |
