Tell me about your kids favorite schools with 25%+ acceptance rate

My son is a math major at St. Olaf and he loves it there. Pretty sunny, but brutally cold. Glad we had some higher admit schools on his list, because 2021 was a brutal year. Just a reminder, for high stats kids of a certain demographic, find at least one safety to adore.

Are you from a rural area? Eagle Rock is completely fine.

But the immediate area around it in Eagle Rock is not safe

We really liked St. Olaf. Our DC got into another SLAC ED but St. Olaf seemed very good.

+1 I love St. Olaf but DD opted for a LAC closer to home.

Vandy and Clairmont have greater than 25% ED rates.

They don’t
And it is spelled Claremont.

DC is a recent Ole math major. Friends went on to start PhDs, teaching, and industry. 8-10% of any class are math majors - 60-80 a year. Many double in whatever - Comp Sci/Physics/Music/Norwegian/... With the size of Olaf's program, they're able to offer a broader range of higher-level undergrad math than almost all LACs. It's also somewhat possible, but rare, to take a class at Carleton. St Olaf also runs the undergrad program for Semesters in Math in Budapest - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Semesters_in_Mathematics and also offers its own winter term class there if your DC wants a "warm" winter term.
