+2. Grown ass man playing video games is so unattractive.

It’s not any different than a grown ass woman watching real housewives or … chatting on DCUM.

Except the real housewives and DCUM aren’t violent (well some housewives and DCUM posters are maybe violent). Watching trashy TV isn’t the same as playing a game fantasizing about or glorifying murder, crime, and war. The OP isn’t saying he’s playing Mario Cart.

Except the comment wasn’t in response to playing violent video games. It was in response to a comment that grown-ass men playing video games is unattractive.

I still maintain that no 5 yo is going to sit and watch what is happening on the screen.

Watching real people treat each other poorly is far worse than watching computer-animated characters shooting at each other (typically in wildly unrealistic settings that would not be mistaken for real-life even by a 5-year-old).

The behavior of middle school girls suddenly makes a lot more sense now.

Turn off Housewives and try picking up an Xbox controller.

That's true. There's real evil in real life in your local church, a close relative or in a person you really trust. They can harm your children physiologically for life.
Videogames is just artificial animations. I worry more for real predators out there pretending to be nice

Gamers are awesome! If you don't play it's fine. I won't call you boring. Check yourself nancy, I feel sorry for your kids.
There's other far worse things like people like you and other evil people pretending to be saints

This. So much this. Violent video games are not acceptable.

Nope. No. Not a good idea. Never.

Mother of teenagers here and I think it’s inappropriate to play violent video games in front of young kids. We are only now allowing first person shooter games and it still feels too early.

But, if your husband insists on playing these video games then it would be a good time for you to occupy the kids with something else.

My thought is, if your husband insists on playing video games, let alone violent ones, it might be a good time to consider marrying an adult. Who are these overgrown man-children?
