None. They cut 25 critical positions in the 2021 police budget and created such a hostile political climate, nobody wants to work here. |

We are one of the most educated and wealthiest counties in America, adjacent to the Nation's capital, and these clowns are the best we can get?
I hope they read these comments to know that they are the laughing stock of our county. Maybe they should pay these people more (crazy thought) to actually attract people with some resemblance of a brain. Most Democrats are not anti-police. Crime is the biggest issue facing our county. Fix it. Screw the political nonsense and protect those you "theoretically" serve. No one cares about some stupid street being reopened, they care about the safety of their family and property. |
why would they care they get elected to office. This county is full of idiots |
I understand the sentiment here that more pay would attract a better class of candidates, but all it would do is jack up the pay for professional politicians like Jawando, and others who have had no real private sector experience. Look at the bios of the whole council. They have all been government employees of state or fed in some capacity their entire careers. And the current salary is 140,371. This may be a shock to the council members but that is mid to senior level management, with real numbers to hit in the private sector. |
