People in Boston are reasonable. The schools did well with test-to-stay, improving ventilation, and posting in-classroom air quality measurements online for accountability. https://www.bostonpublicschools.org/Page/8810 |
That’s nice. You’ve been to every country and checked it out? Good to know. I’ve often wondered what it would be like to live in places with universal health insurance. |
Thank you! It is nice. Lucky me I guess! Maybe you can experience it one day, if you wish really hard...

I’m in the same camp (or mostly, I’ll eat indoors if there’s like only 3 or occupied tables in a large restaurant, or once when a thunderstorm started and they literally told us we weren’t allowed to remain outdoors because it was a liability/insurance thing.
I’m going on vacation leaving Tuesday and while I’ve chosen a destination that should support patio dining, the forecast isn’t looking promising so I’m a little concerned. |
|
We eat outside a lot, but largely because we like it (I'm a Parisian sidewalk cafe kind of person). And because we have a toddler and her typical noise level is more acceptable and easy to blend in outdoors, so it's more relaxing when dining as a family.
I imagine we'll go back to indoor-only when winter hits. |
+2 never got COVID from stores, international travel or restaurants. Did get COVID from my mother. Which is fine! I had a cold for 3 days. |
| I am with you OP! And, I have not gotten Covid yet. I love that sensible Americans are doing what Europeans have always done- i.e. eating outside regardless of the weather. Also, I will always wear a mask in airports/planes for the rest of my life. And, I hold all of my office meetings outdoors. |

We do very little inside still and are always masked.
We occasionally go out to eat but outside only. |
You realize that when your family and friends have tested positive for Covid, they have passed their peak of infectiousness? If this is your standard, you’ll never done inside a restaurant again. Which is fine with me — easier for me to get a table. |
The only place in the US that I’ve seen this is DC. It’s a hot bed of anxiety and mental illness. |
Not when he wouldn't have otherwise. What a stupid comment. |
| No. But by posting it here, you’re going to get a bunch of idiotic, childish replies demanding you oMg sToP LiViNg iN FeAr and immature people who will tell you how they’ve spent the last two years licking doorknobs and leaning into strangers’ sneezes and “still no COVID.” Just ignore. |
No, “everyone” is not eating inside again. You understand that, right? |
Stop spreading lies. |
We aren’t wearing “cloth masks.” The masks cautious people wear in 2022 are indeed very effective at preventing COVID transmission when worn correctly (which yes, they are and yes, we’re sure).
